14 portraits and 24 surfaces

The portraits hold the wardrobe brief throughout: white collared shirt, black trousers, watch and ring. The first four are the 2 September set, in red frames. The ten added on 9 September run five setups twice, once in black and once in plum, so the only thing changing between a pair is the eyewear. All of them are half body or closer, and none depict an event that has not happened.

36White shirt, red frames, gold watch and ring. Seated with a ceramic cup, dark bookshelf and lamp behind. Half body.
37White shirt over black trousers, red frames. Seated in a cream armchair, lamplit room with artwork behind. Crops below the knee.
38White shirt over black trousers, red frames. Standing with a tan notebook, hand resting on an armchair back. Crops mid-thigh.
39White shirt, red frames. Writing in a journal at a round marble table, roses and a lamp behind. Half body, eyes down.
64Black frames. Seated in a cream armchair, hands on the knee, lamp and artwork behind. Same setup as 65.
65Plum frames. Seated in a cream armchair, hands on the knee, lamp and artwork behind. Same setup as 64.
66Black frames. Standing with a tan notebook, hand resting on an armchair back. Same setup as 67, and the same as 38 in red.
67Plum frames. Standing with a tan notebook, hand resting on an armchair back. Same setup as 66, and the same as 38 in red.
68Black frames. Writing in a journal at the round marble table, roses and a lamp behind. Same setup as 69, and the same as 39 in red.
69Plum frames. Writing in a journal at the round marble table, roses and a lamp behind. Same setup as 68, and the same as 39 in red.
70Black frames. Standing at a window, arms folded, watch in frame. Same setup as 71. The only setup here with no red-frame equivalent.
71Plum frames. Standing at a window, arms folded, watch in frame. Same setup as 70. The only setup here with no red-frame equivalent.
72Black frames. Seated with a ceramic cup, dark bookshelf and lamp behind. Same setup as 73, and the same as 36 in red.
73Plum frames. Seated with a ceramic cup, dark bookshelf and lamp behind. Same setup as 72, and the same as 36 in red.

Surface plates

Grounds for section breaks and card backgrounds, in four directions. These arrived as contact sheets and were sliced so each plate has its own number, which is why they are small: they are proofs for choosing, not finished assets. Anything you pick has to be regenerated at full size before it ships.

Gold and plum

The closest to the brand as built: gold as the finishing accent, plum as the ground.

40Brushed gold, soft directional sheen.
41Gold plaster, fine crackle.
42Broken gold leaf, high mottling.
43Plum plaster, soft clouding. Close to the site's plum.
44Mauve marble, gold veining.
45Plum and gold ink bloom.

Deep plum

Darker and heavier. Would work where the site currently runs a solid plum section.

46Deep plum watercolor wash, the darkest plate in the set.
47Mauve-grey stone, warm gold fissures.
48Plum and mauve ink, gold threading.
49Plum plaster, troweled and cracked.
50Brushed gold, diagonal grain.
51White marble, gold and mauve veining.

Rose and mauve

The lightest direction. Reads closer to fleur than to amethyst.

52Rose plaster wash, pale and chalky.
53Mauve plaster, fine even tooth.
54Rose quartz, translucent banding.
55Brushed gold, vertical grain. Lighter than the other two golds.
56Cream marble, fine gold veining.
57Rose and mauve ink, gold edge.

Warm neutrals

Off the jewel-tone palette. Useful as quiet ground under type, but check each one against the palette before using it.

58Warm plaster, white bloom.
59Travertine, open pitting.
60Sand watercolor wash.
61Combed plaster, arcing tool marks. The most textural plate in the set.
62Cool grey stone. Off palette
63White marble, tan veining.

35 new images, awaiting your call

Generated to the brief agreed on 19 August: half-body framing, white shirt under the tailoring, watch and ring throughout, and a genuine spread of glasses and poses rather than one shot restyled. 5 of them break a rule we have already set and are marked as such — they are shown for completeness, not as options. Hover a red chip for the reason.

The current library

What the site runs on today: 36 images, 23 of them live on a page, 10 sitting unused, and 3 retired. Retired is not the same as unused — those three depict events that have not happened and will not come back until there is real photography of a real one.
